Part B: Entry Method and Initial Selection
Phase 1: Upload your video
5. To enter this Competition, you must create a video of yourself demonstrating your football skills. Requirements for the video are as follows:
· Your video must be between 50 seconds and 60 seconds long, continuous and unedited.
· You must not use your hands at any time during your football skills demonstration, except to place the football on the ground at the start.
· You should use a size 5 football.
· You can use more than one football during your routine.
· Your routine must be a solo performance and no one else should participate in your football skills demonstration.
6. You must comply with the General Rules, in particular Section 7 and Section 8 (please click here to view the General Rules)
7. When creating your video, please ensure you read the Selection Criteria set out at http://www.skysports.com/freestylers (“the Website”) as this will guide you as to what to include in your video to demonstrate your football skills.
8. Once you have created your video, you can enter it into the Competition by going to the Website to upload and submit your video. Before uploading your video, you will be asked to enter some personal details. If you are under the age of 18, you will also be required to tick a box to confirm that your parent or guardian has given their permission for you to enter this Competition.
9. You cannot enter more than one video into this Competition, and if you do, we will only consider your first video entry.
10. All video entries submitted to the Website shall be moderated and only those entries approved by British Sky Broadcasting Limited (“Sky”) will be published to the Website. We and/or Sky reserve the right to reject your video entry (in which case you will not be considered to have entered the competition) or remove your video entry from the Website following publication (without notice) and/or disqualify you from the Competition, at any time, if we and/or Sky believe that your entry does not comply with these Specific Rules, the General Rules or Sky’s Standard Terms and Conditions, or is generally unsuitable for this Competition, at our discretion. No correspondence will be entered into.
Phase 2: Selection
11. Entries will be separated into four categories:
Females aged between 13 and 15
Males aged between 13 and 15
Females aged 16 years old or over
Males aged 16 years old or over
12. After the Closing Date, we will shortlist 30 eligible entries from each category to qualify for the next round of selection. Eligible entries will be selected either because they are the most viewed entries by the Closing date or because we consider that they demonstrate a high level football free-styling skill. In all cases entries will only be selected if they demonstrate football skill and comply with all of the rules of this Competition.
13. Where there is a tie between two or more entries (for example because they have received the same number of views), we will select the entry we consider demonstrates the most football free-styling skill.
14. The shortlisted entries will be sent to an independent expert judge. The independent expert judge will judge the shortlisted entries based on the Selection Criteria and will select one winner from each age/gender category.
15. Our decision and the decision of the judge is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The identity of the shortlisted entries shall not be made public.
